The Missouri Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program has two components: Energy Assistance (EA) and Energy Crisis Intervention Program (ECIP)
Energy Assistance Program (EA)
November 1 through March 31
EA is a federally-funded program which assists low-income households once each winter with home heating costs as funds are available. Benefits are based on the number of people in the household, household income, and the type of fuel used to heat the home. Payment is made to the primary heating vendor. Applications for this mail-in program are available at all Northeast Missouri Community Action Agency offices.

Household
Energy Crisis Intervention Program
(ECIP)
ECIP provides financial assistance to households whose utility services are off or in threat of being disconnected. Benefit amount is the amount to resolve crisis.
Winter funding is available
October through May
