Locust Street Head Start Cook Aide/Center Aide

Locust Street is hiring a Cook Aide/Center Aide. The Cook aide/center Aide is responsible for helping the lead cook plan and organize the purchasing, preparing, dating, labeling, and storing of foods in the assigned center. Being able to operate and manage the kitchen, and ensure a proper flow of tasks assigned. Maintaining proper sanitation is essential. This individual will also assist in various ways in the Head Start center including the kitchen, classroom, and office. Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must participate in and pass random drug and alcohol testing. Must pass a Child and Elder Care Worker screening. Responsibilities include providing and assisting with activities that promote social, physical, and cognitive growth in children ages three to five. Qualification Requirements: Have a minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or a state-awarded certificate that meets or exceeds the requirements for a CDA credential; are enrolled in a program that will lead to an Associate or Baccalaureate degree or enrolled in a CDA program to be completed within 18 months of hire. Wayland Head Start Center Supervisor/Family Advocate

The CAPNEMO Head Start Program announces a vacancy for a full time Center Supervisor/ Family Advocate at our Wayland Head Start site. The Center Supervisor/Family Advocate is responsible for working with families to assess their needs, assist in meeting the needs of program objectives, and Social Service and Parent Involvement at the Head Start site. The Center Supervisor/Family Advocate oversees the daily center operation; including assurance of compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and Missouri Child Care licensing regulations. Must participate in/pass random drug and alcohol testing. Must pass a Child and Elder Care Worker screening. Associates Degree and staff supervision experience preferred, but will train the right candidate. Must be willing to obtain credential/certification in social work, human service, family service, or related field, within 18 months of hire.

Family & Community Partnership-ERSEA/Health Supervisor

Coordination, training/mentoring, monitoring, and general supervision of the Social Service/Health component of the Head Start Program by performing the following duties: Responsible for monitoring the Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance within the Early Head Start/Head Start program. Track data entry in the Childplus software system.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages 3-5 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 10-35 employees in the Center Supervisor, Family Advocate, and/or Family Advocate/Center Supervisor roles. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university. Must pass a Child and Elder Care Worker screening. Benefits include sick/annual leave, employer-paid health insurance/life insurance, and retirement. Thirteen state and federal paid holidays.

Jamison Street Center Aide

The CAPNEMO Head Start Program announces a vacancy for a Center Aide in our Jamison Street Head Start center.
